The strength of Chinese medicine lies in the process of sifting through the broad range of symptoms, signs, and manifestations exhibited by the patient, and identifying the underlying pattern of disharmony.
This foundation course is a prerequisite to learning Chinese herbal medicine for those without a Chinese medicine background.
The first year of the course provides a solid basis in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory and diagnostic methods. This is a live online course. For students without a prior medical training, we provide online pathways for Western anatomy, physiology and pathology, and practitioner development.
Students will then go on to the 3 year herb course to gain a professional licentiate. The course can be completed in 4 years in total (the western medicine modules can be completed over years one and two).
It will also be possible for students to take further studies in acupuncture. Please contact us if you would like to discuss this option.
Students with a prior medical training (e.g. nurses, doctors, osteopaths etc) will be able to skip the Western medical modules and just focus on learning TCM theory in the first year to take them into the herb course.
RIGOROUS BASIC TRAINING, ONLINE
When you join our TCM foundation course you will be teamed up with one or two other students embarking on the same journey. Your teacher will be one of our highly experienced practitioners keen to share his or her wide knowledge of the subject. This is a live online course where you have the opportunity to forge strong and lasting bonds with your fellow students as well as your teacher-mentor.
WHAT YOU WILL GAIN
