FAQS
Answers to Your Questions
WHAT ARE THE COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS?
We will accept students who have graduated from an accredited acupuncture training course. Students who have no previous training in acupuncture will be eligible to join the Diploma course if they complete the TCM Foundation course and, if necessary an online training in Western medicine diagnosis, prior to commencing the course. Applicants from a previous Chinese medicine training that has not been formally accredited will be interviewed to assess their eligibility for the course.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR A PLACE ON THE COURSE?
We are always happy to discuss our courses so you have plenty of opportunity to understand what we offer and whether it is the best thing for you.
Once you have made the decision to apply, you will find our application form here.
WHAT ARE THE COURSE APPLICATION DEADLINES?
All applications should be submitted by the start of the next course in September 2024. It is possible to join the course after it has started, but as we run at a fast pace, this is not ideal.
HOW WILL THE COURSE BE ASSESSED?
There will be regular tests and assessments in the first and second years of the course to encourage learning of the basic herbs and formulae. Examinations will also take place at the end of Years 1 and 2. In the third year of the course students will be evaluated on the basis of their final 6 month clinical rotation plus a dissertation exploring an area of CHM they have a special interest in.
HOW DO LECTURES WORK?
Term runs from September to June and each month during term there is a 3-day weekend of lectures. Lectures are usually live online, although some may be organised at ICOM in East Grinstead - these lectures are simultaneously streamed so that students who cannot come to ICOM can attend remotely.
WHAT IF I MISS A LECTURE WEEKEND?
Monthly lectures are usually recorded and made available together with teaching material (PowerPoints, etc.) shortly after each 3-day weekend session. Students can catch up and are always supported by lecturers who are happy to answer questions, etc.
HOW DOES WHITE CRANE SUPPORT ITS GRADUATES?
